The Inventory Deployment Analyst is responsible for setting up sales forecasting and deployment processes for a core assigned book of business. The Analyst will use the merchandise category plan to ensure that inventory is managed to constraints and targets that are aligned with the business strategy. This includes working closely with Merchandise Planning, Production and Sourcing teams, ensuring proper management of core inventory, both in region and BBWI Distribution Centers. This position reports to the Manager, Inventory Deployment or Sr. Inventory Deployment Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a sales forecast to be used for allocation and buying purposes (based on historical selling patterns, seasonal trends, and promotional activity)
  • Formulate an inventory deployment plan to global partners and subsequent BBWI inventory receipt plan to support
  • Set and maintain regional forecasting and deployment parameters, taking into account constraints and inputs such as inventory levels by store cluster, lead time and order cycle, timing of merchandise delivery, minimum presentation quantity/safety stock, distribution size and frequency
  • Work with Supply Chain to resolve external constraints that impact inventory flow to BBWI distribution center and Partner distribution centers
  • Read and react to business trends, analyzing performance: adjusting forecasts, partner allocations, and receipt plans
  • Manage inventory in support of major events i.e. item launch, promotions, new stores, relocations
  • Collaborate with Franchise partners through effective communication
  • Coordinate and problem solve with cross functional partners as necessary to support and efficient and effective inventory management
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to proactively plan for capacity constraints and to properly ensure inventory flow

Qualifications

  • 3 years plus of inventory management, replenishment or allocation experience
  • High level of technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access to analyze large volumes of data
  • Curiosity and desire to bring a diverse point of view to the team and organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and customer types/levels
  • Excellent communication, prioritizing and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to analyze and understand quantitative data
  • Systems used: Manugistics, SAP, Microstrategy

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, statistics, operations, supply chain, retail merchandising
