The Director of Martech Strategy & Orchestration will lead strategy development for marketing orchestration, lifecycle strategy & insights using marketing technology platforms to align with business goals. They serve as the key liaison between marketing and product/tech teams, aligning business needs with MarTech platform functionality. This role requires deep expertise in marketing automation and measurement, CRM, customer data orchestration, and emerging digital technologies to enhance business impact, drive marketing efficiencies and deepen brand connections.

Responsibilities

Strategic Martech Roadmap

  • Define and communicate a customer-centric vision and strategy for marketing technology that aligns with BBW’s business objectives and drives personalized, automated, and data-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a customer-first marketing roadmap in collaboration with lifecycle marketers, analytics teams, and MarTech product owners.
  • Coordinate tactical planning and cross-functional alignment to bring lifecycle initiatives to life across marketing campaigns and channels.
  • Support prioritization of technology and data needs required to implement personalization goals in partnership with the Product and Engineering teams.
  • Proactively identify gaps in the existing marketing technology stack and recommend new solutions or processes to address them.

Customer Journey Orchestration

  • Drive end-to-end audience strategy, including audience creation, segmentation, and campaign execution for channels such as email, SMS, push, and direct mail.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of marketing automation efforts, including email marketing, lead nurturing, and customer journey mapping.
  • Champion innovation in identity resolution and audience management platforms, with a focus on enterprise-wide customer data enablement.
  • Translate customer insights into actionable segmentation strategies to elevate personalization and campaign effectiveness.
  • Partner with data management, IT, and digital product teams to ensure effective data integration and process alignment.

Marketing Measurement & Insights

  • Provide strategic oversight of channel performance measurement, working with internal and external partners on media mix modeling (MMM), attribution, and testing agendas.
  • Guide the team in developing and delivering actionable, unbiased insights to influence marketing investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with partners (e.g. Finance, Analytics, Enterprise Insights, Channel Leads) to standardize and scale marketing measurement practices.
  • Responsible for data collection, segmentation, and analysis to support data-driven decision-making, personalization, and campaign optimization.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in marketing technology, data management, preferably in a multi-channel retail setting.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic setting and adjust to changing priorities, demands, and timelines with excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, influencing and ability to establish clear lines of communication with peers, collaborators, customers, and senior leaders.
  • Proven competence to lead, manage, mentor, and improve teams with diverse skills.
  • Expertise in architecting and implementing marketing technology solutions and driving innovation developing roadmaps for future acquisition or development.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong business insight and a desire to streamline and optimize marketing processes, translating business objectives into technology investments and measurements.
  • Extensive knowledge of B2C ecommerce and brick & mortar retail marketing and technologies including personalization, media activation, email campaign management, CMS, AdTech, identity resolution.
  • Strong understanding of data-management systems, capabilities, processes, and standard methodologies.
  • Experience with analytics tools and marketing measurement approaches, technologies, and providers.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Analytics, or related fields; or equivalent experience
