Reporting to the Vice President of Stores, the Regional Sales Director plays a key role in growing our brand, fostering our company culture and creating a unique and memorable shopping experience for Bath & Body Works customers. Regional Sales Directors lead, mentor, implement and support the Bath & Body Works enterprise vision, ensuring teams are delivering results and holding their teams accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a “customer rules” culture both internally and externally.
  • Consistently articulate and assess execution of brand strategy, values, and vision across all districts to ensure alignment within the region.
  • Drive profitable sales through effective business analysis; identifying financial opportunities and action plans to address current business challenges and deliver desired results.
  • Work with all districts to achieve performance goals, including sales plan, conversion, brand standards, store operations, talent management, and asset protection.
  • Attract, retain, and develop talent through effective leadership that cultivates an exceptional store experience, sales culture, and individual and team development through strategic leadership, feedback, and collaboration founded upon curiosity and humility.
  • Responsible for hiring, retaining and developing District Managers
  • Apply effective analytical skills by turning complex information into actionable steps for the regional team.
  • Apply effective communication skills, time-management, agility, and decision-making that anticipates market and customer trends with corresponding execution in the region.
  • Distinguish between customer segments, with differences in needs and approaches, and understand variances in profitability and value creation potential.
  • Actively contribute to the stores’ leadership team through observation, analysis, and insight including both the peer group and cross functional partners.
  • Ensure regional compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to operations, merchandising, finance, administration, safety, and asset protection.
  • Apply effective communication skills, time-management, agility, and decision-making that anticipates market and customer trends with corresponding execution in the region.
  • Oversee new store openings and remodels.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

•    Experience leading a minimum of 8-10 district managers with over $250M in revenue in a high-performing selling culture.
•    Leadership overseeing district, multiunit or high-volume business.
•    Strong business acumen and proven track record of leading, adjusting and developing business strategy to achieve profit & loss results.
•    Keen awareness of the marketplace, external competitors and retail trends related to product, floor sets, visual, talent and safety.
•    Ability to embrace challenges, try new things, learn fast and influence change to lead execution of critical initiatives through others while handling multiple priorities.
•    Exhibit the approach, processes and tools needed to identify, acquire, develop, engage, and retain top-level talent. 
•    Highly accountable and demonstrates leadership consistency to guide and inspire their teams.
•    Doesn’t shy away from performance management and holding everyone on their teams accountable.
•    Consistently engaged and invested in the business, someone that always “shows up” and “leans into” tough situations.
•    Partner with Asset Protection to drive shrink awareness and mitigation.
•    History of consistently going above and beyond.
•    Able to travel overnight and/or between stores as required.

Education

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
