Reporting to the Manager of IT Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis related to the Technology Capital Project Investment Portfolio. This associate will demonstrate functional expertise to provide operational leaders insights and identify risks/opportunities to their business. The position is encouraged to perform ad hoc analysis, support the development of presentation materials for executive leadership, and continuously find opportunities for improvements in execution.
Responsibilities
- Leads all close and forecast activities for the technology projects, understands key variances and can translate across finance and technology functions
- Develops financial models and reports that are dynamic, accurate, and clearly present key findings and assumptions
- Perform business, financial, and operational analysis to help influence management decision-making
- Collaborate to develop, review and/or analyze financial and non-financial business cases related to technology capital investment projects
- Author clear and concise Executive summaries of business cases for senior management in an effort to acquire capital project funding approval (from Corporate CFO)
- Partner with multiple non-financial and cross-functional partners to achieve shared goals
- Support annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning process
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting role
- Communication across various levels of the business
- Curiosity to ask questions, dig deeper, and derive insights
- Dissect large amounts of data, summarize, and extract the highlights to deliver to senior leaders
- Make decisions, demonstrate autonomy, and work outside of a standardized process
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle several tasks/projects
- Ability to break down and model complex business issues
- Ability to think analytically and creatively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced PC skills including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Experience with Hyperion and SAP preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting required
