This position is within the Data Services Team focused on leveraging the MicroStrategy platform to create, optimize, and manage business intelligence solutions, which includes everything from data modeling to dashboard creation. A key component of the role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, then turning those into actionable, technical solutions. Additionally, this individual would contribute to the long-term strategy of migrating or enhancing reporting solutions in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Designing BI Solutions: Using MicroStrategy to develop tailored business intelligence solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Develop and Enhance Mobile Dashboards, Dynamic Dashboards
- Data Modeling & Report Creation: Designing the underlying data models that support the reporting needs and creating insightful reports that are both functional and user-friendly.
- Performance Optimization: Ensuring that reports and dashboards run efficiently and scale well to handle larger datasets, keeping performance top of mind.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Working closely with business teams to gather requirements, ensuring that solutions meet their needs and provide actionable insights.
- Cloud Migration Strategy: Contributing to and executing a strategic roadmap for migrating or enhancing reporting infrastructure within a cloud environment.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Offering expert-level support for MicroStrategy, solving complex issues related to the platform, and ensuring it is running smoothly.
- 7+ years of experience in designing, building, and supporting MicroStrategy platform on Data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Teradata, Azure SQL Server, Hadoop (MapR, Cloudera)
- Strong experience with MicroStrategy Dashboard and Report Development
- Azure cloud development experience is a plus, as the role may involve cloud migrations or building new solutions directly in the cloud.
- Devlopment experience with other BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau preferred
- Strong SQL skills are a must to manipulate and query data from these warehouses
- 3+ years of experience in supporting software on Linux Platform
