This position is within Data & Analytics team, responsible for automating every applicable step of analytics, including data prep, blending, reporting, predictive analytics, and data science algorithms. This person will work directly with our Analytics Business Partner team & Data Science Team to develop and advise on best practices to apply automation to our existing Python/SQL workflow in the Snowflake environment. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for data automation and will look to create efficiencies for the existing Analytics team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Data & Analytics team to deliver automation solutions from idea conception through implementation
- Develop and lead simplification projects to improve efficiency and productivity of the Data & Analytics team and ultimately our business users through automation and self-service capabilities
- Continually explore better tools to do your job and strengthen your skills
- Support the build and/or purchase of tools and technology for Data Automation
- Partner closely with cross-functional partners and leaders to provide insight, information, and education on the topics of data automation, tools, and process automation
- Identify and support strategies to make data processing more efficient with automation
- Lead, guide, and support a team in data governance and automation initiatives ensuring successful implementation of deliverables for partner offices
- Five (5) years or more of experience in data governance and automation
- Two (2 )years of experience leading and mentoring others directly and cross-functionally
- To be successful in this role, you need to be a self-starter with strategic focus and bias for action and experience in continuous process improvement
- Process Automation Experience: Demonstrated experience with process automation using tools such as Alteryx, Python, UiPath, R and other
- Strong interest in learning new tools and processes relevant to analysis, governance, and reporting on complex data in a dynamic environment
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines while maintaining high standards
- Expert on data automation and governance principles
- Experience working with large databases (Snowflake/Azure preferred: not required)
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop complex queries using SQL, Python, or other coding languages (Python preferred)
- Retail experience is a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, information management or related field with 3 years of experience as a data professional
