Portfolio Management is a centralized enterprise function that oversees investment mix and prioritization of programs and initiatives supporting strategic brand goals. Within this function, the Portfolio Management Operations team bridges strategy and implementation by facilitation and collection of what it takes to implement an initiative through definition of scope, resources, investment and timeline. The Senior Analyst role serves as a key individual contributor within the Portfolio Management Operations team working with cross-functional partners through the lifecycle of project requests; responsible for supporting a centralized operating model and processes for obtaining value realization, key performance indicators, delivery milestones, resource planning, dependencies, delivery timing, and cost investment. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for the Project Approval Request (PAR) process throughout the portfolio pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Support demand management and value-based prioritization through obtaining level of effort, return on investment, and resource investment criteria
- Support project scoping to gather all pertinent information that informs estimation accuracy and completeness
- Develop and maintain partnerships across all business and technology areas
- Facilitate estimation efforts to secure detailed project costs and accurate documentation
- Leverage strong partnership with Finance and Fixed Assets to ensure corporate policies related to CapEx, OpEx and Asset Registry are in place for all approved work
- Coordinate Capital Review readiness and supporting artifacts
- Report on demand status within portfolio pipeline and monitor process health
- Ensure streamlined handoff of work and approved funding to delivery teams
- Focus on continuous improvement of the end-to-end portfolio management process and identify areas of improving work efficiencies and effectiveness
- Conduct training to support adoption of organizational change for portfolio processes
Required:
- 5+ years of Project or Portfolio Management experience
- Solid financial competence
- Experience working on large scale and highly complex projects or programs involving cross-functional partners and external vendors
- Must be highly organized, with meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with particular focus on leadership influence and stakeholder alignment
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytic capabilities, with ability to quickly adapt to new situations as they arise
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, work well independently and within a team environment
- Thrive in a fast, constantly evolving, high-pressure environment
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
Desired:
- 2+ years of retail experience preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow platform (strategic portfolio management module) a plus
- PMP certification a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience
