Summary
This Manager role supporting Email Marketing is primarily responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of the daily U.S. email marketing program for Bath & Body Works. It will support floorset/theme planning and intratheme revisions to strategies, including but not limited to seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotions, testing, and brand initiatives. It will also oversee segmentation strategies, promotional accuracy, and contribute to activating channel enhancements and innovations.
Responsibilities
- Plan messaging and segmentation strategies for daily email program to drive traffic and demand to stores and bathandbodyworks.com while retaining customers and delivering long-term value
- Understanding of email planning documentation (wireframes/calendar, trackers, etc.) to ensure messaging plans are prioritized to support business needs; recommend adjustments as necessary and advise direct report(s)
- Ingest planned and unplanned business changes and promotional updates; efficiently and effectively modify email plans accordingly to enhance overall channel performance and meet shifting needs of the business
- Find opportunities to enhance performance and support “test and learn” agenda/calendarization with team and cross-functional partners; support testing initiatives across the business that require email participation
- Participate in external vendor relationships across status check-ins and coordinate communications required to plan and deploy marketing emails
- Keep a pulse on competitor email programs, identifying trends and potential messaging opportunities to increase overall performance and better connect with customers
- Assist Senior Manager in theme planning, including creative briefing
- Guide and lead direct report(s) development
- Support direct report(s) as needed with the following:
- Email documentation and execution
- Subject line and pre-header copy strategies
- Creative routes for seasonal/thematic and daily messaging support
- Daily email QA/proofs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-7 years of marketing experience; previous email experience highly preferred
- Retail/e-commerce experience preferred
- Strategic thought partner with intellectual curiosity
- Ability to lead team in a fast environment and assist them in adapting to shifting priorities and timelines
- Teammate with a collaborative, growth mindset & ability to navigate an organization, influence partners and build consensus with internal and external partners
- Ability to comprehend email marketing metrics and as a result, provide strategic direction and specific business recommendations to manager
- Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar enterprise-level email platform
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other similar office/collaboration software
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
