The Data & Analytics Business Partner Office serves as an analytic shared service to both internal and external partners. The team operates as subject matter authorities in functional areas to understand analytic needs within the business, performs the analysis and deploys the results/solutions back to the business partners.
The Pricing & Promotions Analytics Sr. Manager helps to refine the go-to-market pricing/promotion strategy by better applying advanced analytics models/methodologies and assisting in driving strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead business analytics partner for pricing and promotions, partnering with the Data Science COE for ongoing model development
- Translate data into viable business recommendations; present findings and actionable insights to finance & pricing/promotions teams.
- Assist in the development of our analytics roadmap with business partners with a focus on value.
- Design and lead dashboard reporting create self-service enablement for business partners.
- Perform and lead team members to deliver ad-hoc analysis.
- Lead all aspects of insights of analysis on business initiatives with focus on insights/recommendations.
- Work with cross-functional team to resolve data discrepancies and system issues.
- Apply automation to existing and new products.
Required:
- Five (5) or more years of experience in B2C pricing and promotion roles; preferably in the retail industry
- Eight (8) or more years of coding, data analytics, and data visualization experience
- Three (3) or more years of management experience
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex business questions, to develop an analytic approach, to translate data into concise and actionable insights, and to present the insights back to non-technical business partners
- Completes work independently; receives general guidance on new projects
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of test / control methodology
- Hands-on approach to work, thrives in a multi-task environment
- Experience working in data and analytics for a mid-large size company
Desired:
- Experience in working with a specialty retailer
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Hex, JuptyerLab, Snowpark, and PowerBI
- Experience working in a corporate retail environment
- History of enabling personalization strategies in large, complex organizations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
- Masters preferred.
