As the Community Relations & Philanthropy Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for driving Bath & Body Works’ associate philanthropic programs, including annual giving campaigns, volunteerism, and associate engagement initiatives. The Senior Specialist role will ensure that Bath & Body Works associates are actively involved in community impact efforts and serve as a liaison to internal customers and will support the overall impact of Bath & Body Works’ philanthropic programs.  

Responsibilities 

Strategy and Planning  

  • Assist in conceptualizing projects in collaboration with key internal partners by supporting the strategy aligned with the broader business strategies and goals.  
  • Collect content for reporting needs, while analyzing program performance to make data-driven recommendations.  
  • Identify and implement process improvements and resources needed to streamline operations and enhance the efficiency of programs.  
  • Regularly promote philanthropic opportunities and impact by collaborating with internal and external partners to conceptualize and create content to support initiatives and storytelling.  

Program Management  

  • Lead all aspects of company giving campaigns and associate volunteer programs to ensure success and alignment with brand purpose and mission.  
  • Be responsible for the execution of Bath & Body Works’ volunteer program in partnership with volunteer platform partner. 
  • Identify innovative opportunities for associate engagement by aligning with other business initiatives and large-scale impact projects.  
  • Partner with Sr. Coordinator on associate incentives program. 
  • Collaborate with the communication teams to collect content for storytelling on social media, web content, calendars and other communication materials pertaining to volunteerism, community programs and events.  

Teaming and Leadership  

  • Collaborate and provide support to team members as needed to ensure successful community engagement initiatives. 
  • Develop and sustain relationships with program partners and community customers.  
  • Responds to inquiries from community members and other interested parties; when needed, recruits a knowledgeable spokesperson or information source to assist 
  • Serve as a key liaison to community partners, learning standard processes, enhancing nonprofit partnerships, and finding opportunities to address emerging community needs.  
  • Assist with department management, including monitoring and responding to various inquiries and other support as needed.  
  • Represent Community Relations & Philanthropy at various company and non-profit events in home office communities, acting as an ambassador for Bath & Body Works’ community impact efforts 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of philanthropic/community relations experience with a not-for-profit organization or corporate community relations (or equivalent experience) 
  • Demonstrates ability to lead cross-functional projects, with a focus on measurable outcomes in additional to leading priorities and deadlines calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while forecasting potential outcomes, providing alternative solutions 
  • Embodies and role models our values and actively helps shape a healthy culture  
  • Strategic problem solver with exceptional written and verbal communication skills  
  • Capability to develop and complete strategies and plans on deadline and with excellence  
  • Excellent team orientation, partnering, calendar & time management skills  
  • Understands the brand ethos and aligns community relations strategies accordingly  
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time  
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably community relations, program management, or related field; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
