The SFA, Payroll at Bath & Body Works is involved in a wide range of challenging and unique assignments that are key to the success of the business. This role will lead a team that plays a significant role in initiatives that typically involve cross-functional teams, leaders of Human Resources, and other functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support our initiative of Building a High Performing Team by proving direction and oversight to a team of 3 which will include setting clear goals and expectations that align with the company’s mission and vision.
  • Be able to flex between roles of coach, developer, and influencer to drive individual and team growth and success as well as upskilling the team and improving overall performance
  • Serve as a first level of review and support in tax filing and escheatment processes.
  • Assist in leading quarterly and annual tax review processes as well as authoring quarterly escheatment reporting and support weekly Payroll banking audits and reviews
  • Support key payroll initiatives and projects such as expansion of Earned Wage Access program and the leveraging of RPA for process optimization.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Partners in Digital IT, Associate Connect, Benefits and Human Resources to understand current processes and make recommendations for improvements as needed. This includes acting as Payroll liaison with Digital IT – attending technology meetings to provide input on Payroll processes that pertain to the relevant issues affecting the Payroll Services Teams (Operations, Tax, Banking), and providing analysis to support impacts of change and communicate to Payroll Leadership and IT partners
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and/or develop evaluation methods to support the work of the team in addition to identifying root cause of current issues and leading initiatives to change cross-functional processes.
  • Quantify impacts of key decisions, present findings to management/senior leadership and execute on decisions which includes providing insight of meeting content and recommendations to Manager/AVP
  • Meet with key partners within Payroll spaces to further understand processes and communicate change.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Payroll/Human resource roles, preferably overseeing direct reports with a consistent track record of effective leadership and development of a payroll team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Cloud-based HCM systems including Oracle or Workday. Proficiency with systems such as ADP Wisely and Smart Compliance, Blackline, SAP, and automation tools such as UI Path and Power Automate, a plus.
  • Strong Communication and Presentation skills to various audience from individual contributors through Senior Leadership.
  •  Proficiency in Office365.
  • High attention to detail coupled with execution, analytical and auditing skills.
  • Ability to supervise task execution in a thorough, composed, accurate and timely fashion while leading multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resource is required. 
  • Project Management Training (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.), FPC/CPP certification a plus.
