The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the daily operations within Associate Connect through execution and administration of HR policies and programs. They will serve as a consultative partner and subject matter expert in areas of Associate Relations, HR programs, people leader coaching and services, and resolving people and HR matters.

Responsibilities

HR Strategy Implementation

  • Execute human resources strategy and services that corresponds with the company’s goals to strengthen and sustain the company.

People Services Delivery

  • Ensure efficiency and effectiveness through high volume service delivery
  • Uphold Bath and Body Works values and standards of conduct by handling and resolving advanced HR matters including associate relations, investigations, asset protection and background check dispositions.
  • Provides advice and counsel to associates and people leaders on associate relations, absence management and performance management.
  • Identify and assess trends and risk within organization to drive initiatives, policy improvements and overall culture.
  • Collaborate with Tier leaders, HR Business Partners and people leaders on associate relations, performance management and trends impacting area of support.
  • Ensure policies, procedure and practices are adhered to in compliance with federal, state, and/or municipal laws

Culture, Change & Engagement

  • Deliver Best-in-Class HR experience to associates using effective communication through high volume interactions face-to-face, by phone and through written channels.
  • Support and complete HR and change initiatives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources function
  • Experience working in a retail environment a plus, but not required
  • Proven ability to lead through change and navigate the fast pace demands of a retail environment
  • Expert in managing associate relations, performance management, case management, and other people strategies.
  • Knowledge and expertise in employment laws and regulation
  • Ability to collaborate and work across multiple business units, buildings and geographic markets
  • Proficient and up to date in current HR technology, systems and analytics
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision making skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with demonstrated ability to deescalate highly emotional situations
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
